The awards recognized individuals, groups, organizations, or businesses active in the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation or interpretation of the county’s architectural, cultural, or natural heritage. Nissen Building Apartments received the award in the commercial/institutional category.

Cupples Station Loft Apartments received the 2006 Cityscape Award from the Downtown St. Louis Partnership on November 16, 2006 for “significantly enhancing the street-level environment of the downtown neighborhood with its restoration of a historic structure”.
DESIGN-BUILD INSTITUTE OF AMERICA 2006 MERIT AWARD
Clayco, General Contractor for Cupples, received a Merit Award from the Design-Build Institute of America for their work at Cupples Station Loft Apartments. The project was honored in the rehabilitation/restoration category.

The 2003 Honor Award, highest award given by the New Orleans District Landmarks Commission, for the Outstanding Achievement in the field of Commercial Restoration was received by Historic Restoration, Inc. for its American Can Apartments, June 25, 2003.

The 2003 Paragon Award was presented to Historic Restoration, Inc.’s American Can Apartments from the National Apartment Association for Best Mid/High-Rise Community in the nation with more than 150 residential units. The American Can Apartments Project, with 268 residential apartments, is located at 3700 Orleans Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana. The award was presented at the NAA’s annual conference in New Orleans on June 21, 2003.

CONSTRUCTION NEWS & REVIEW’S REGIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Regional Excellence Award was presented to Historic Restoration, Inc. by Construction News & Review’s (CNR) and the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) for the historic rehabilitation of the Renaissance Grand Hotel, formerly the Statler Hotel, located in St. Louis, Missouri in April 2003. HRI, RTKL & Associates, Peter Fillat & Associates and Alberici Constructors were recognized for the Project’s contribution to the industry and its overall excellence.
