HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
Originally built as a steel supply warehouse in 1921 in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, HRI renovated the building in 1989 into 105 luxury, loftstyle apartments. Two floors of new construction apartments and an atrium were added to the interior of the building. In 1996, Marriott International, Inc. approached HRI to develop a 231-room Residence Inn by Marriott. This project converted the existing apartments into guest suites and HRI designed and built an additional 125 suites on an adjacent parking lot. |
