HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
This collection of fourteen 19th Century buildings was renovated into a first-class hotel in 1995. Located in the heart of the City of New Orleans, this property was a former department store that required the construction of two large interior courtyards to bring natural light to interior guest rooms typical of the French Quarter. HRI received an award from the Vieux Carre Commissionfor this project. Located on the ground floor of the hotel is approximately 24,000 square feet of retail/commercial space that is 100% occupied by two restaurants, a club, and two retail tenants.
